PanPastel Happy Birthday Inspiration

Today I'm sharing a Birthday card with a PanPastel background and stamped with Design by Ryn stamps - Leafy Branch, Raindrop Set and Trickling Water.  You can purchase these stamps HERE

Having blended the PanPastels for the background I masked off a square with a Post It note before stamping the leaves and water.

Then I removed the Post It and stamped Happy Birthday into the square and scribbled a frame around it.

The fun bit is the erasing the Pans from the leaves and water - once I'd taken a lot of the colour out I hilighted with a white pen.

You can join in with the Challenge by clicking HERE, you can also see an array of wonderful work from my Teammates. Congratulations to the winner and Top 3 of the Clean and Simple Challenge.

I'd like to enter this card into the Take It Make It Challenge over at Craft Stamper.

Craft Stamper - Take It Make It Challenge

I've thoroughly enjoyed the blog hop over at Craft Stamper which encouraged me to have a go in their Challenge this month.  Click HERE to enter.

My entry is a tag I made using the Tim Holtz Nautical Blueprint stamps and Hero Arts Brush Stroke stamps.

I used the Brush Stroke stamps for the sun and background together with Adirondack inks.  I then stamped the Sea Horse, Star Fish and Sand Dollar on to the tag and also on to white card using Archival Ink.  I coloured these and cut them out then added Rock Candy Crackle.  Once dry I added them to the tag on foam pads.  I took some garden string and coloured it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Hope you like it.

PanPastels - Happy Birthday

Morning all

Well .......... I've had a very exciting week this week, I retired!!!  Yes no more work - whooohoooo!

My project for this week is a card made using torn paper which I taped to my card with low tack tape.  I then sponged the colour through the opening and also stamped two butterflies before taking off the torn paper.

I then used the same colours, Turqoise and Hansa Yellow, mixed together to make a lovely green before stamping the third butterfly which I cut out.  After adding pearls to the body of this butterfly and stamping the sentiment the card was ready.

Thank you for joining me today - I really appreciate your visit and your comments.

PanPastel Clean and Simple Inspiration

I'm finding these Clean and Simple cards so enjoyable to make and they can be used for so many occasions.

For this card the stamps are from the Woodware Going to Seed set and I used Hansa Yellow and Orange PanPastels through a Tim Holtz stencil.

Thank you so much for popping by and thank you to everyone who supports my blog and leaves such lovely comments.

Clarity stamp Challenge - Things with Wings

IHappy New Year everyone!!!
Well it's all change on the Claritystamp Challenge Blog Team, myself, Linda Page and Naomi Mahon are joined by a ne Design Team.  I'm sure you'll join me in welcoming the newbies and also to say goodbye to the girls who have left us.  We'll miss you.

Congratulations to the winner and Top 5 of the December Challenge - gorgeous entries yet again.

We're starting off 2015 with a new Xhallenge which is Things with Wings. I decided to use what is possibly my favourite stamp set of 2014, the Journalling set.

I started with a size 8 Manilla tag and blended scattered straw, dried marigold, mowed lawn and stormy sky distress inks into the tag.  I then flicked it with water.

While it dried I used the same inks to colour the seam binding for the bow.

With Black Archival I stamped the branch, birds, script and harlequin stamps randomly around.

I then stamped the upper layer of the bird into heat resistant acetate and heat embossed with
Platinum Wow Embossing powder.  I cut these out and attached them over the silhouette bird slightly off to leave a shadow.

I couldn't make up my mind whether or not to trim off the over hanging wing but I can do that later I'd I decide to.  The words are chit chat stickers.

Thank you so much for all your support over 2014, all your comments are much appreciated.
